Artugna Race, promised land for Bordonaro?

11 March 2024

Pordenone, 11 March 2024_ This time it's a completely different story. Alfio Bordonaro, reigning double champion of the Italian Cross Country Baja Championship (2022 and 2023) has the first concrete chance to win the Italian Baja di Primavera -  Artugna Race and start in the best way a season that promises to be very hard fought for the quality and level of contenders.

The driver from Catania, who confirmed Stefano Lovisa from Pordenone on the right seat, a navigator with "rally roots" but now also a championship-winning CV in off-road racing, will be at the start with the Suzuki New Grand Vitara T1 3.6 purchased last year just after having obtained fifth place overall at the Artugna in his last performance on Vitara T2, second place on the podium of the series derivatives.

The short the yellow racing car, driven with the instinctive determination of Bordonaro, still has what it takes to aim for the top and it will be an exciting and spectacular challenge on the dirt roads of the foothills, between Aviano, Budoia, Fontanafredda and Polcenigo. See you next Friday for the sporting and technical checks, on Saturday the race with four selective timed sectors.
