Pordenone, April 21, 2025_ Happy Easter Monday. Wet or dry, usually and for almost everyone it is a party with friends. This time it is also the last day to register for the Italian Baja di Primavera, renamed Artugna Race from 2021. Fifth consecutive year, therefore, that the tricolor challenge organized by the Fuoristrada Club 4x4 Pordenone takes its name from the "torrent that is not there". What you always see are the traces of the ancient riverbed, the dry riverbed in the municipality of Budoia, but perhaps a couple of fords will resist until next Saturday thanks to the recent rainfall.
They will be able to add further magic to a traditional rally track that has proven capable of exalting even the muscular cross-country vehicles together with the more agile side-by-sides. The count of the competing crews is already positive for the period and considering the change of date (it should have been held a month ago), "but someone who joins at the last moment is always good", concludes the president Andrea Vignola.
The Artugna Race 2025 will be hosted by Villa Policreti in Castel d'Aviano, the splendid and ancient Residence of the Tolomei of Polcenigo on whose immense garden an 18-hole golf course has been created. So everything is connected: Aviano, Budoia and Polcenigo, the three municipalities of the Artugna Race nestled in the Pordenone foothills, with its jewels of nature and history and many itineraries for carefree tourism.
The competing crews will have no time to digress, but they are the driving force of a curiosity that comes from all over Italy and also from abroad, with two competitors announced from Hungary and the champion Lorenzo Codecà who runs under the flag of San Marino. It will be fun!
