The participation of Mauro Trentin in the Italian Baja (June 25th/28th) will warm up the enthusiasm of all Pordenone fans. The able pilot from Colfosco di Susegana collected an army of fans thanks to his three victories gained at the Azzanorally (2007, 2008, 2010), but his Palmarès emphasizes above all the two Rally Terra Trophies (2008, 2012) which allowed him to become a national expert as for low soil adherence.
However, there is a clear difference between the firm soil which characterized narrow streets and the consistence of the Cellina and Meduna torrents and the Tagliamento riverbeds, as they hide a lot of traps which furthermore change after the passage of each vehicle. Trentin, who is at his debut together with the navigator Alice De Marco, assures that he will consider himself as a “modest beginner in an attractive context”.
The Team from Treviso will dispose of the Toyota T1 ex Franco Grigoletto, with diesel engine and sequential transmission, directly put at its disposal by Elvis Borsoi.
