A RECORD YEAR FROM THE ARTUGNA RACE TO THE SARDEGNA RALLY RAID

May 23, 2026_ Let's rewind. In March, the Artugna Race set a record number of entries for an Italian Cross Country Championship race, undoubtedly helped by registrations for the rally trophies. Then came the Sardegna Rally Raid, with almost double the number of entries compared to last year, undoubtedly helped by the rainbow sirens and the stunning setting.
Now, the run-up to the Italian Baja (June 25-28) and its triple crown—CI2C ACI Sport, FIA World Cup, and FIA Baja European Cup—is attracting a flood of registrations from across the border, despite all the global difficulties, in addition, of course, to many Italians who decided to take advantage of the discounted registration fee (which expired yesterday).
The Fuoristrada Club 4x4 Pordenone office is delighted. The trend is positive and is rewarding the overall commitment to promoting a specialty championship that recognizes and believes in a broad-based, competitive, and communicative project. It's been clear this weekend that there are still many pieces to be put in place, mistakes to be corrected, and improvements to be made. But there's an enthusiasm that transcends the difficulties, drawing energy from the obstacles, infecting the crews and the staff. The collective commitment—under the aegis of ACI Sport—is to fuel the sacred fire of passion like an Olympic flame.
