Italian Baja, Thursday under the stars
Big screen, lighting effects, a dual speaker, and guests from around the world for the competitors' parade in Pordenone's main square
May 28, 2026_ Doing things big is in the DNA of the Fuoristrada Club 4x4 Pordenone, which always pursues its dreams with pride and determination. In four weeks, from June 25th to 28th, the 33rd edition of the Italian Baja will take place, a round of the FIA Baja World Cup and European Cup, and a round of the ACI Sport Italian Cross Country Championship.
And on Thursday evening, June 25th, following the crews' sporting checks and the vehicles' technical checks, the official competitor presentation ceremony will take place like a star-studded parade in Piazza XX Settembre, the center of Pordenone. Big screen, lighting effects, a dual speaker, and guests from around the world will enliven this exceptional stage, putting drivers and navigators in the spotlight before and after the thrills of the race over the next three days. A sparkling and engaging way to present a sporting adventure that since 1993 has carved out an important role in promoting the region, not only by showcasing the up-close beauty of the many places to explore, including cities, villages, countryside, and riverbeds, but also by showcasing the organizational efficiency, professionalism, and tenacity of a typically hard-working and dedicated Friuli region.
This is the essence of the Italian Baja, which will have its headquarters at the Pordenone Fairgrounds, the starting and finishing point, open for four days and available to off-road enthusiasts and those simply curious about a rainbow-colored showcase event.
