Registration opens today for the 3rd Baja dello Stella, the fourth act of the 2026 Italian Cross Country Championship.

Two months have passed since the Italian Baja in Pordenone, and another will pass before the off-road vehicles rev up in Rivignano Teor. The next meeting is scheduled for Friday, September 25th and Saturday, September 26th, when the Italian convoy will meet in the lower Friuli region, crossed by the Stella River. This river is also a defining feature of the Motori dello Stella association, which was founded in 2009 as a group of car and motorcycle enthusiasts, organizing events, courses, rallies, and races.

2024 will be the first experimental edition of the Baja dello Stella; last year, the foundations were consolidated; this year, the desire to increase the number of competitors and the spectacle of a compact, fun, and selective course without over-stressing the competing vehicles.

The program is concentrated into two days:

On Friday, September 25th, the crews' sporting checks at the town hall in Rivignano, the technical checks of the vehicles at Parco Divisione Julia, the shakedown (pre-race test) in Sella, and the riders' briefing in Piazza Tarabane, where the starting ceremony will be held at 7:30 PM.

On Saturday, September 26th, the race itself will take place, with a selective sector to be repeated four times (the first competitor will start at 8:05 AM, 10:35 AM, 1:05 PM, and 3:05 PM). The route will be revealed only the day before the race, when the road book is handed out. The finish line and awards ceremony will begin at 6:00 PM in Piazza Tarabane.

The overall drivers' standings see Martin Alejandro Cisella in the lead with 272 points, followed by Andrea Schiumarini with 240 and Alessandro Trivini Bellini with 234.
